It was tempting when designing this page to find all kinds of banner headlines that draw attention to the world's difficulties. Most of the difficulties have been man-made. Others, of course, have been the result of natural disasters. However, man's inhumanity to man invades so many countries. It gives rise to an overwhelming, and far-reaching, feeling of stress and anxiety on the part of millions of people.

The Bible has long foretold of these days. There are many passages of Scripture that indicate that in the last days, that is, before the return of Jesus to the earth (Acts 1:11), there will be extreme difficulties. Here is one of those passages:

"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (Luke 21:25-27)

The days of terror are with us now and point towards the return of Jesus to the earth. Read more about this and God's New World that will result, in the booklet you can download. The link is at the bottom of this page. Be assured ... there is HOPE!

Brief notes on the trouble spots

Israel. This country is always in the news and has constant tension with Palestinians. You might like to look at the reasons for this in the section on Middle East Studies in this website.

Syria.  This is the one of the great trouble areas due to the ISIS and its ambitions to spread its influence. The conflict between Syrian government forces, Syrian rebels and ISIS soldiers has led to the involvement of other nations in the conflict and has resulted in a massive number of refugees that is impacting on the whole of Europe and other parts of the world.

East Africa. Somalia and neighbouring states are constantly at war with thousands of people suffering because of this.

France. The recent terrorist activity has highlighted for the whole world the chaos that can arise through evil minds.

Belgium. This seems to be the base for the terrorists active in France. At the same time, there is considerable anxiety in Belgium for fear of what activities terrorists might carry out in that country.

The Ukraine. Ongoing tension between Ukraine and Russia seems no nearer to resolution and is resulting in constant conflict and hardship.

Russia. Russia hasn't been misplaced on the map above! The label has been placed here because of Russia's naval presence in the Caspian Sea and its ability to fire missiles from there to Syria in support of President Assad.

North and South Korea. These two republics have never signed a peace treaty and there is continual military "muscle flexing" and a war of words  between them. North Korea is generally regarded as a rogue State due to its unpredictable actions.

China is trying to build its presence in Asia through its sovereignty claim over islands it has created in the South China Sea. Other nations are concerned that China will exert too much influence on the events of South East and East Asia.

Afghanistan has had so much conflict of the last 30 years that it does not have a culture that can lead to lasting peace. Afghani refugees are being recruited by Iran to fight in Syria.

United States. People are astonished at the number of massacres that take place in that country. Such acts of violence lead to anxious living.

"This booklet is about a New Age - a New World - but the ideas we are going to put before you have been known for thousands of years. God's plan for the world is ageless; it is eternal, and it has never changed. It is recorded in the Bible. Man's ideas have failed; human systems have come and gone, but there is no need at all for some alternative 'new age' philosophy: the oldest plan for our planet is still the best. Please read on!"
